Tritax Eurocentral EZ Unit Trust Fully Subscribed in Six Weeks

Leading Enterprise Zone (EZ) specialist, Tritax Securities Ltd, has secured £330 million of investment in its Tritax Eurocentral EZ Unit Trust in the six weeks since its launch.

The off-shore unit trust, which is one of the largest EZ funds to be launched, attracted over 1,400 private clients who invested an average of £232,000 each. The trust will develop a total of 16 properties, consisting of 11 office buildings, four warehouses and a range of ancillary facilities at Eurocentral, Scotland’s largest mixed-use business park.

The development will see the construction of 732,000 sq ft of office buildings, together with 244,000 sq ft of warehouse / manufacturing space, plus an amenity hub including restaurant, crèche, leisure / gym and retail facilities, to complement the existing Dakota Hotel. The development, extending over 41 acres, will create in excess of 5,000 new jobs and will be the largest speculative business space project ever undertaken in Scotland. Work is scheduled to start in Autumn 2007.
