02/12/2009

Regus - the world’s largest provider of workplace solutions – is to become the first major tenant at Maxim after agreeing a significant lease at the prestigious Lanarkshire office park.

As the company’s seventh Scottish premises, the move will see Regus initially take the first floor of Maxim Building One, providing 250 workstations and eight meeting rooms – with potential to expand operations across the remainder of the 70,000 sq ft building.

Commenting on the deal, Mark Dixon, group chief executive of Regus said: “The Maxim Office Park is one of our most exciting commercial developments in the UK which gives us a modern, high specification site in a fantastic, strategic location with excellent transport connectivity.

“The site is ideally situated to attract a broad mixture of companies from global firms looking for a Scottish satellite presence, to local firms looking for an excellent, quality-of-life location.’’

Maxim chief executive, Karen Campbell added: “We’re delighted to welcome Regus as Maxim’s first office let. This deal continues the momentum built up with retail operators now coming on site. This is a vote of confidence for the Maxim Office Park and the wider Scottish economy as the Regus facility will provide an ideal platform for companies to create new jobs and expand their operations in Lanarkshire.’’

Regus operates over 1000 business centres across 450 cities in 76 countries. Products and services include fully furnished, equipped and staffed offices, world-class business support services, meeting conference and training facilities and the largest network of public videoconference rooms all serving over 500,000 clients daily.

Regus is expected to move on site in February 2010.
