By Bridget O'Connell British Land subsidiary Broadgate Estates has been appointed to manage the £330m Maxim development in Scotland. The company has been handed a five-year contract to manage 750,000 sq ft of offices in 10 buildings, together with six industrial units extending to 450,000 sq ft located between Edinburgh and Glasgow. The firm will advise on property management with asset management to be undertaken by fund Tritax Securities.
Karen Campbell, chief executive at Maxim, said:
"Efficient property management will enable occupiers to focus on their core business aims without worrying about reliability of facilities, which will be second to none. "A large site such as Maxim is a community in its own right and it is essential that occupiers are well briefed on amenities, transport, security and related issues at all times. Good communication is central to that. "By bringing in Broadgate Estates as we near the completion of the first buildings, we are also ensuring that future occupier use and enjoyment of the park are fully considered from the design stage."
